How to Regear a Jeep Cherokee Dana 30

The first thing you need to do to get ready for the regear is to make sure you have all the tools you are going to need. Here is what I used on this install:

1. Inch/Pound torque wrench
2. Dial Indicator with a magnetic base
3. All sorts of wrenches and sockets... and breaker bars
4. Hammers
5. Pipe wrench
6. Bearing Splitter
7. Bearing Puller
8. Gear oil
9. Gasket glue
10. Loctite
